Reiki is a method for healing and self development which was founded in Japan by Mikao Usui (1865-1927). One can use Reiki for countless purposes but originally it was a path of spiritual development. To this end, Usui Sensei left "five rules for living" for his pupils:
Since then, there have come many forms and schools of Reiki. Kirsten teaches "The Blue Lotus" Reiki which consists of 5 grades or levels. |

"Reiki" is a Japanese word and means, "Universal Life Energy" and is also called, "Qi", "Light", "Prana" and so on. The ability to channel and transfer this healing energy is awakened by an initiation or attunement carried out by a Reiki Master or Master Teacher. Straight after the first attunement, one can channel Reiki energy.

Reiki II With the next initiation one receives two more symbols which are used especially for harmonising thought and feeling, and the ability to channel energy beyond space and time. Apart from an increase in channeling ability, one has thereby many more ways of using Reiki:

Reiki III Together with another increase in powers of channeling , most people will experience an expansion of consciousness as one is now attuned to the finest, highest source of energy. Reiki III is most suited to those want to be serious practitioners and to those who choose Reiki as their spiritual path in life.
